An article that I submiited a few weeks ago was finally in the Walton informer this week. It is similar to the Surrey Advertiser article, but hopefully raises awareness of PSP a bit more. You can click on the picture to read the article.
Good work on the newspaper articles - my story hasn't hit the local paper yet, fingers crossed that it will soon. I did a 1/2 marathon yesterday too - what a killer! I managed it in 1 hour 52 minutes. i have the blisters to show for it. Keep on rowing.... Caroline
I intend to row 1 million metres on a Concept 2 rowing machine to help raise money for the PSP Association. My mum is currently suffering from PSP and so I feel compelled to help raise awareness and money in any way I can.
My aim is to row 1 million metres in 1 year. That's about 621 miles, which is about 100 miles short of rowing around the West coast from Land's End to John O' Groats. In fact if you set off from Land's End, you'd end up just north of Loch Cul Fraioch.
The challenge starts on Friday 1st May 2009, the first day of the new rowing season.I will have to row an average of about 5000metres a day to achieve my goal in a year and will log each rowing session on the Concept2 online logbook and update my progress as regularly as I can.
