You should feel very proud of yourself for reaching your goal. It looked touch-and-go for a bit when you were recovering from your different and unlucky illnesses / injuries.
Keep up the good work on the PSP fund-raising, I will sponsor you this weekend. Wish you mum well and I hope that she will feel some of the immediate effects of your hard-work fund-raising for such a good cause.
Well you can have a good chill out this Bank Holiday, then get back to the C2 next week. Just to let you know I also achieved my goal today of 2 million metres in a year - I am very happy with myself and have managed to raise over £1,000 for the MS Society. Let's aim for 3 million next rowing season?!
I intend to row 1 million metres on a Concept 2 rowing machine to help raise money for the PSP Association. My mum is currently suffering from PSP and so I feel compelled to help raise awareness and money in any way I can.
My aim is to row 1 million metres in 1 year. That's about 621 miles, which is about 100 miles short of rowing around the West coast from Land's End to John O' Groats. In fact if you set off from Land's End, you'd end up just north of Loch Cul Fraioch.
The challenge starts on Friday 1st May 2009, the first day of the new rowing season.I will have to row an average of about 5000metres a day to achieve my goal in a year and will log each rowing session on the Concept2 online logbook and update my progress as regularly as I can.
Hi Richard - brilliant work.

Congratulations Caroline. That is amazing. I'll think about the 3 million! Maybe try 2 million first for me!
