After 9 weeks and 6 days, mum is finally all set to come out of hospital! She is excited, but apprehensive about returning home after such a long time in hospital. the NHS have been great so far and mum has a new electric bed to help her up, aswell as many other useful aids. An electric wheelchair has been ordered, which should help her to go down to the restaurant and maintain as much independence as possible and carers will be in frequently to help with mum's needs.
I started the rowing after mum went into hospital and have now rowed 220,000m. Sponsorship now stands at £950 plus gift aid, so nearly half way to reaching the target set.
